MEMORY LANE CAFE IPSWICH

Memory lane cafe is a weekly meeting place for carers and cared for who are living with dementia. We also welcome those who have been bereaved by dementia. Based in ipswich, memory lane cafe is open from 11am - 3pm every tuesday. Our mission is to provide opportunities for friendship, support, activities and a light lunch.

From severe depression to alzheimer's. We help support any classified mental health problems. Based in south wales and support the south east region of wales.

THE FRIENDS OF HORSE FAIR

Horse fair is a purpose built care home offering dementia, nursing, residential, respite and end of life care. Horse fair care home also provides specialist care for young people with physical disabilities. The friends aim to improve the quality of life of the residents of the care home by working with staff, residents and relatives.

ST PATRICK'S HALL ORGANISATION CONSETT

St patrick's hall organisation consett provides a substantial community facility and services for the benefit of the people of consett and surrounding areas. The hall is used by groups such as slimming world, alcoholics anonymous, keep fit groups, various education courses are run e.G. Photography, cookery, lunch clubs and a dementia cafe also take place.

COUNTRYMEN UK

Countrymen uk use the farm and countryside environments help to meet the challenges being faced by men who find themselves isolated because of deteriorating physical or mental health or changing social circumstances. Conditions may include: dementia, parkinsons, stroke, isolation, injuries, anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress, chronic pain, cancer, heart & lung conditions and others.

KENNINGTON MEMORY CLUB

The provision of day-care services for up to ten individual persons (members) with a diagnosis of dementia living in or near kennington, oxford on mondays and thursdays each week throughout the year including optional hot lunches, providing respite for their carers. Members are looked after by qualified staff assisted by volunteers in the safe environment of kennington methodist church.

BLUEBELLS DAY CENTRE

Bluebells day centre, based at the christ church centre in henley on thames, provides social engagement, activities, games and outings for dementia sufferers and respite for their carers.

Gwennie's getaways provides respite holidays to those living with dementia and other forms or alzheimers and their carer/s.

MEMORY MATTERS FOUNDATION

Memory matters foundation raises funds and offers advice and information to support people affected by dementia and long term conditions in plymouth and surrounding areas.

BUDDIES DEMENTIA CAFE

Buddies dementia cafe is for people living with dementia and their carers. We meet every first and third thursday of the month between 10.00am and 12.00noon where we provide entertainment, refreshments, advice and friendship in a safe and secure environment. We also provide trips and meals out. The meetings are held at nettleham village hall, brookfield avenue, nettleham, ln22ss.

CANCER AND DEMENTIA AWARENESS AND SUPPORT FOR AFRICA (CADASA) LTD

We create awareness and provide support on cancer and dementia for africa. We organise lectures, seminars and symposia on the subjects with a view to enlighten anyone with the conditions or their relatives on how to be prompted for medical check up, for early detection which could prevent fatality. We do organise test centres for free medical check ups and signpost them accordingly.

Our organisation is designed to enhance the well-being of older people living with dementia by promoting independence and foster social connection. The jean brown dementia raises money in the north east of england which we then look into areas in our community to help with dementia development , research and care. We plan to hold 1 big ticket event each year and also do little things throughout the year such as raffles and bonus balls to generate income.

RYE HARBOUR SAILABILITY (RHS)

Rye harbour sailability enables people with difficulties to enjoy the fun and freedom of sailing with an experienced helm and crew. This gives opportunities for sailors with learning difficulties, dementia, mild cerebral palsy and autism, for example, to build their confidence and apply this in their day to day activities. Local volunteers help run social and training events.

Tide is a uk wide involvement network of carers and former carers of people with dementia. Tide enables carers and former carers to have a powerful collective voice, using their lived experience to raise awareness of their unique needs, have their rights respected and be empowered to influence practice, policy and research at all levels.

Memory cafes, also known as dementia cafes, provide safe spaces where people can go for a cup of tea and chat with experienced professionals or others affected by dementia. There are also games, quizzes and craft sessions which those attending can take part in along with outside speakers who invited to give talks.

LYRICS AND LUNCH NETWORK

The charity creates community for those that are losing theirs by directing support and relief to people who are socially excluded from society, or parts of society as a result of their dementia and memory loss. The charity does so by providing the cared for and their carers with regular access to singing/music sessions, nourishing food and social eating.

DOWNHAM DEMENTIA

Downham dementia works with people diagnosed with dementia and their care givers. It provides a regular social cafe provides advice support information and signposts onto services that may assist them. It also organises social activities. This activity occurs in downham market and the surrounding villages.
