We are a small local charity run entirely by volunteers. We provide blind and partially sighted people with a monthly audio magazine. THE TANA TRUST

The tana trust has helped in developing and making available to users, emergency call aids, commodes, plastic wheels for wheel chairs, knitting aids, an interface unit for blind telephone operators, a communicator to assist people with severe speech problems, two musical sound generators, cash dispensers and lifts for use by severely disabled persons.

Sussex coast talking news (sctn) provides blind and visually impaired listeners resident along the west sussex coast with free fortnightly local news and a magazine recorded and dispatched on cd or usb sticks. We are run entirely by volunteers and operate from a studio in rustington, west sussex.

Local news read on to an audio cassette once a week for visually impaired people

THE TYNEDALE TALKING NEWSPAPER

Each week, a team of readers records the hexham courant, tynedale's local newspaper, for distribution to blind and partially sighted people, and to other disabled people unable to read a printed newspaper. Recordings are copied onto memory sticks, and posted on friday evenings. Listeners return the sticks to be re-used for the following week's recording. We normally have around 100 listeners.

DUNMOW DAY CENTRE

The daycentre provides a warm space, social interaction & freshly cooked lunches at moderate prices between 10am & 2pm every tuesday and thursday, for the local residents over 55. This is funded by rental of the premises to a variety of organisations for their activities with particular emphasis on groups supporting the over 55's eg blind & housebound & alzheimer's groups.

We record all the main news from the two local newspapers on to memory sticks and post these to visually impaired people throughout north somerset every week. We supply every listener with a usb memory stick player free of charge.

We are all volunteers who record the local news on tape every week for blind persons. We read and record on a monday evening and our listeners receive a tape the next day. We also send out a magazine on tape 4 times a year.

Direct payments to registered charities e.G bike active, heart beat e.A.C.H .Also any appeals we might receive from the public.We also give to the the saint elizabeth hospice. We have also given to the east suffolk assocciation for the blind also to the make a wish charity. These monies are raised mainly in house but we do hold race night quiz nights.

SURREY ASSOCIATION FOR VISUAL IMPAIRMENT

Sight for surrey (the trading name for surrey association for visual impairment) works with people who are vision impaired, deaf, hard of hearing or who have combined sight and hearing loss. The charity has provided support to vision impaired people since 1922, and those with combined sight and hearing loss since 1993. It began to deliver services to the deaf and hard of hearing in february 2016.
